Nick Finegold
Chairman and Founder

Nick Finegold is founder and Executive Chairman of Execution Noble Limited. After 20 years of industry experience Nick established Execution in July 2001 to become a leader in the provision of conflict-free broking and research to the world’s major institutions. Prior to founding Execution, Nick spent five years as Head of Global Equity Sales Trading at Deutsche Bank in London where he was instrumental in setting up their European equity trading business. Nick also established the Execution Charitable Trust in 2002, which targets community projects in the UK’s poorest and most deprived areas. Nick is based in our London office.

Simon Brookhouse

Simon Brookhouse joined Execution Noble Limited in November 2008 and is Chief Executive Officer. Simon joined us from HSBC where he was Global Head of Equities and established a profitable Equities business platform. Prior to this Simon was Head of European Equities at Merrill Lynch. Simon is based in our London office.

Angus Macpherson

Angus graduated in History from Cambridge University and subsequently worked for Lazard Brothers, Smith New Court and Merrill Lynch. During his career he worked in London, New York, Singapore and Hong Kong, latterly as Head of Capital Markets and Financing for Merrill Lynch in Asia. He joined Noble in 2006 and was appointed chief executive in 2007. A driving force in the merger with Execution, Angus is Deputy Chief Executive of Execution Noble Ltd and also holds a non executive directorship of JPMorgan Elect plc.

Charles Ashton

Charles qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers after which he worked for Lazard and Flemings. After Flemings acquisition by JPMorgan Chase he became a Managing Director and Head of the Aerospace Group in the EMEA region before joining HSBC. For the last 5 years he has been the finance director of two early stage, developing companies. He joined Execution Noble in 2009 with responsibility for finance.

Damien Devine

Damien Devine is a founding partner and Global COO of Execution Noble Limited. Prior to joining Nick to establish Execution, Damien spent 6 years at Deutsche Bank where he was Chief Operating Officer of Global Exchange Services and was appointed Managing Director. Damien is also currently Chairman of the Execution Charitable Trust and is based in our London Office.

Jennifer Owens

Jennifer is responsible for all group-wide regulatory, legal, compliance and HR matters and is Company Secretary to the Board. She worked latterly as Legal and Compliance Director of General Electric Company (GE Money) and prior to that was with Herbert Smith.

James Blackburn joined Execution Noble Limited in September 2001 and is European COO. James joined us from Merrill Lynch where he was Managing Director in charge of Sales Trading to U.S. clients. James is based in our London office.

Martin Dolan

Martin Dolan joined Execution Noble Limited in October 2003 and is Head of Equity Research. Martin's original focus was to cover Consumer Staples stocks specialising in the Food, Beverages and Personal Care space. Martin joined with his colleague James Edwardes Jones from Credit Suisse First Boston where they were the No.1 ranked Pan European Food team. Martin is based in our London office.

Garreth Hodgson

Garreth Hodgson joined Execution Noble as one of the founding partners in July 2001 and is now Head of European Equities. Prior to joining Execution, Garreth spent 6 years in Equity Sales and Sales Trading at Goldman Sachs. He is based in our London office.

Bruce Howitt

Bruce joined Execution Noble in July 2009 and is Head of European Credit. Bruce has 20 years of experience in Fixed Income, latterly at Merrill Lynch where he ran Investment Grade trading. Bruce is based in our London Office.

John Llewellyn-Lloyd

After graduating in PPE from Oxford University, John qualified as a barrister in 1984. He joined Hill Samuel Merchant Bank and became Head of Corporate Finance and a member of the Bank Executive Committee. The team moved to Close Brothers and John became Chief Executive of the enlarged corporate finance group and founded its international business. He was also an Executive Director of Close Brothers Group. He joined Noble in 2002 and since 2003 has led the development of Noble into a growth market investment bank. At Execution Noble he heads up M&A.

John V Millar
Head of Equity Capital Markets

John Millar joined Execution Noble in May 2009 and is Head of Equity Capital Markets. Previously Co Head of Corporate Broking and Equity Capital Markets at Noble, hs was a Managing Director in Corporate Finance at Merrill Lynch International until Feb 2009 - responsible for equity private placements and the coverage of hedge funds. From 1995 to 2005, he headed the equity syndication team in London when he was responsible for structuring, marketing, placing and pricing of all equity and equity-linked transactions lead by Merrill Lynch in the EMEA region. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch in 1990, he worked in corporate finance for Kidder, Peabody & Co. in New York and Australia from 1985 to 1988. John earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Virginia in 1985 and a Masters of Business Administration from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 1990.

David Ovens

David graduated in Law from Edinburgh University and has worked in corporate finance since 1994. After training with Samuel Montagu in London, he joined Noble Grossart Limited and subsequently Noble & Company in Edinburgh, where he was involved in a large range of capital markets and M&A transactions. Most recently David was a director in the Joint Ventures team at Bank of Scotland Corporate in Edinburgh.

Nick founded Clear Capital in 2003 and was Managing Director prior to acquisition by Noble. Previously he was a member of the founding team at Evolution Securities, working through two acquisitions helping build the business. Nick previously worked for UBS in emerging markets equity research. He has an MA from University College London. At Execution Noble, Nick is Head of Small & Mid Cap Equities in UK and India.

Joe Philipsz
Head of Power & Infrastructure Group, Investment Banking

Joe graduated from the University of Oxford in 1988 with a MA in Jurisprudence.  Joe led Noble’s investment activity in UK Infrastructure with over 20 projects with a capital value in excess of £800 million and their subsequent sale to a secondary fund, one of the first major portfolio sale in the UK PFI sector.  He worked with venture capital backed businesses in North America before joining Noble in 1991.  He has led the development of the Infrastructure business from 1995 and   established the company’s Natural Resources and Energy practice with key IPOs of clients with assets in West Africa, South Africa and Asia.

John Moore

John Moore is a founding Partner of Execution Noble Limited. John Worked with Nick Finegold at Deutsche bank and made to move to establish Execution in July 2001. From a fund management and sales background, John made the move to Sales Trading in 1996 specialising in block trading. John has over 22 years experience trading Pan European Equities. John is based in London where he runs Pan European Sales Trading.

John Riddell

John is the Head of the Noble Financial Services Team and the GMA FIG Sector team. His past clients have included many major banking and insurance groups, both in the UK and overseas, and he has extensive experience in handling asset finance transactions. Specifically, he advised Aviva on the disposal of their stake in Lex Vehicle Leasing (one of the largest UK vehicle leasing groups) to HBOS in 2005. Previously, he advised on the merger of United Bank of Kuwait and Al Ahli Bank of Bahrain to form AUB, and on transactions involving banks in the Czech Republic and Spain. Prior to joining Noble he headed the international financial services M & A sector team at KPMG Corporate Finance.

Tony joined us from Lehman Brothers where he was Managing Director and Head of Portfolio and Electronic Trading Sales. With over 19 years experience Tony joined Execution to build the Portfolio and Electronic Trading businesses. Tony is based in our London office.

Nick Tranter joined Execution Noble Limited in August 2009 and is Head of Derivatives. Nick joined us from BNP Paribas where he was Pan European Head of Equities and Derivatives Flow Sales. Prior to this Nick was a Managing Director and Pan European Head of Equity Derivatives Sales at Morgan Stanley. With 20 years of Equity Derivatives experience Nick joined Execution to build the Client Derivatives Platform. Nick is based in our London office.

Peter Tracey

Peter joined Execution Noble from Merrill Lynch where he initially headed up the Pan-European Small & Mid Cap sales desk before moving to Investment Banking to lead the Small & Mid Cap Corporate Broking department. Over this period Peter led a variety of IPOs, secondary fundraisings, M&A and P2P transactions for corporate clients including Punch Taverns, Premier Foods, Debenhams, Halfords, Body Shop and many more. In 2007, he moved to New York to start the Equity Advisory Content Group. Within 12 months, the Sector Specialist Sales team was ranked #1 in the Insititutional Investor All America Sales Survey for Industry Specific Sales Group across Wall Street. Before Merrills, Peter spent four years at Charterhouse Securities in the team ranked #1 in the Reuters Small Cap survey.

Jeremy McKeown

Jeremy brings extensive experience of the UK equity market on both the sell-side and buy-side. He spent 13 years at Charterhouse Securities where he developed and managed the Small Caps sales team, which just prior to his departure came first in the Reuters Small Cap Survey. At Merrill Lynch he was Director of Pan-European Small-Mid Cap Sales, before joining Investec Bank in 2002 where he took on various equity market roles over six years - principally as Head of Small Cap sales at Investec Bank.

Scott Evans

Scott graduated with an MSc. in Economics from Bristol in 1990. A career in academia saw stints at the Institute for Fiscal Studies, and Tutor and Lecturer in Economics at Oriel, Oxford. He joined UBS (Phillips and Drew) working in the smaller companies team before moving to ABN Amro, then Merrill Lynch and back to ABN Amro in 2003, where he became latterly Head of Equity Sales with responsibility for UK, Europe and North America. Scott joined Noble as Head of Research in 2009.

Throughout Laura and Paul’s time at Merrill’s the team was ranked one of the leading UK small/mid cap sales trading teams. Laura has a degree in Business Management from King’s College London.

Prior to Merrill’s Paul was a core part of the team which drove Charterhouse Securities to the no.1 Extel rank for UK smaller company brokers before its acquisition by ING.

James Bromhead

A former Captain in the Light Infantry, James worked for Capel Cure Myers before becoming a founder of Beeson Gregory Ltd.  Since 1994, James has been involved in all forms of Corporate Broking from pitching for new business to execution of IPOs and transactions of secondary market deals.  He has extensive experience of managing UK and European small corporate deals from $10m to $200m covering all sectors.  James joined Noble in August 2003 and is a director in EXecution Noble’s Equity Capital Markets team

Burr Clark joined Execution Noble in August 2009 to open the Boston office.  Burr left Merrill Lynch after 12 years where he was Managing Director of the #1 ranked International Equity sales team.  Previously Burr spent nine years working as a French equity specialist on the buy and sell side in Geneva, London and Paris before returning to  his native Boston in 2000.

 

Saurabh Mukherjea

He previously worked as a strategy consultant at Accenture and London Economics, specialising in Financial Services. He graduated in Economics from the London School of Economics.

Ben's has worked in the UK and the US for D'Arcy and Publicis Group with clients like UBS, Ernst & Young, ING Group, Merrill Lynch, Touchstone Energy, London Stock Exchange, Birds Eye Walls, Canon, Elida Gibbs and Toyota Cars.  In 2005 he turned gamekeeper becoming Head of Corporate Marketing at Insight Investment (HBOS) before joining Noble in 2007. At Execution Noble he takes responsibility for all group marketing and brand development activities.
