Business Leaders, Opinion Formers and Commentators are brought together on Noble's Advisory Board

Noble, the research-led independent investment bank, is delighted to announce the formation of the Noble Advisory Board which has been formed in order to share ideas and to generate opportunities for investment banking and investment management.
The board of business leaders, opinion formers and commentators, includes Cameron McLatchie, Charles Thomson, Chris Deering, Christopher Wright, Geoff McMillan, John Dunsmore, John Kay, Malcolm Gourlay, Nick Holt, Paul Jackson FCA, and Rob Woodward.
Cameron McLatchie is Group Chairman of British Polythene Industries. He has been Deputy Chairman of Scottish Enterprise from 1997 - 2000 and Non-Executive Director of The Royal Bank of Scotland Group Plc from 1998 - 2002.
Charles Thomson is the CEO of Equitable Life Assurance Society, former Deputy CEO at Scottish Widows and was Chairman of the Life Board of the Actuarial profession. Charles has been in management and leadership of mutual societies and proprietary life companies for over 30 years.
Chris Deering is the former President of Sony (Electronics) Europe and was CEO for 10 years at Sony PlayStation which he set up in 1995. Chris now serves as Chairman of Codemasters and of the Edinburgh Interactive Festival, in addition to sitting on the boards of many early stage media/ entertainment companies.
Christopher Wright is Chairman of the Investment Committee of EMAlternatives LLC, a Director of Merifin Capital Group and an Advisory Director of Campbell Lutyens & Co. He has extensive experience financing and advising smaller and mid-sized companies worldwide.
Geoff McMillan is founder CEO of Speciality European Pharma Ltd, Chairman of the AIM Compliance Committee, Non-Executive Chairman of IS Pharma plc and Non-Executive Director of Galapagos NV. Geoff has over 25 years’ international healthcare experience, with an outstanding record of deal making.
John Dunsmore is the former Chief Executive for Scottish & Newcastle plc, leading the bid defence from the Carlsberg/Heineken consortium in 2007. Having started his career at S&N, John became Head of UK Equities at what is now Deutsche Bank, and was Director on the Board of Marstons Brewery. He is a Trustee of the Scottish Community and of The Drinakaware Trust
John Kay was Chairman of Clear Capital prior to its acquisition by Noble, and is a leading business economist. He has served as a Director of Halifax plc, Oxford’s Said Business School and of several investment companies.
Malcolm Gourlay is Chairman of Martin Currie and of Havelock Europa plc, Executive Chairman of Clyde Petroleum where he began as a founding Director, and Non Executive Director of Miller Group.
Nick Holt is a partner at Global Legal Search and was a founding partner of the London office of US law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges. Nick has more than 20 years’ experience as a lawyer in the UK and Asia, and spent 9 years as a partner in senior management roles in both US and UK law firms.
Paul Jackson FCA is Chief Executive of Vantis. Paul is a qualified chartered accountant, and went on to become senior partner in Morgan, Brown and Spofforth. He has extensive corporate finance experience.
Rob Woodward was appointed CEO to the Board of Scottish Media Group in 2007, having been on the Boards of 4ventures, UBS Warburg and Deloitte’s European TMT business and UK Consulting practice. Rob has advised TMT companies on strategic and corporate finance issues for the past 20 years.
