Espirito Santo Investment Bank is looking for smart and talented Graduates/Interns who can add value to our successful and ever growing Equity Research Department.

 

Providing rigorous analysis and thorough, concise research reports, our department’s sole aim is to help clients make better investment decisions.

 

We believe that investment in the development of an exceptional candidate will help shape our department for the future and ensure that our business aim is always met; we expect them to become valued and valuable members of our team

 

The successful individual will be required to show vast knowledge and enthusiasm about financial markets and have natural business acumen.

 

Equity Research Graduate Scheme

The programme

 

We are committed to investing in the development of the successful candidates and are keen to ensure that they contribute to the business as soon as possible. We do this through on the job training, structured learning and mentoring.

 

In the first year the candidate will be assigned to one of our research teams and can expect to become involved with all aspects of equity research. This will ensure a full understanding of the role requirements and successful integration within the team. Some of the roles requirements include: building an internal and external client base; assisting with financial modelling; assessing and responding to news and financial results; and ultimately producing research reports and communicating with professional investors.

 

Training and mentoring

 

Within the first 6 months we aim for our candidates to gain an understanding of the financial regulatory environment and our products and services. The candidate will be required to complete relevant regulatory and industry exams.

 

Whilst it is optional, we support candidates if they wish to start the CFA qualification and the Company will sponsor them if they chose to do it.

 

Full learning support will be given throughout the individual’s progressing career with Espirito Santo; the candidate will be assigned professional mentors who will give industry advice and internal training.

 

Candidate Requirements

 

We welcome applications from students and graduates from all degree disciplines, although must have obtained at least a 2:1

Strong interest in financial markets

Demonstrable numerical and analytical skills

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Ideally the successful candidate will have achieved an A grade in A Level Maths.

Equity Research Internship Scheme

 

A successful applicant will be attached to one of our research teams for eight weeks and will gain vital skills in Equity Research. Some of the responsibilities that can be expected to be given include: assisting with financial modelling; assessing and responding to news and financial results; and helping to produce research reports.

 

Candidate Requirements

 

This internship is available for students in their penultimate year only

Demonstrable numerical and analytical skills

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Ideally the successful candidate will have achieved an A grade in A Level Maths.
